OverviewI''m currently supporting a UK-Based Automotive/Aerospace client of mine in their search for a Project Manager as part of a large-scale IT infrastructure and Manufacturing programme.

The Project Manager must take ownership of a major facilities IT and infrastructure initiative. The position involves overseeing the full delivery cycle, from shaping and implementing IT infrastructure through to coordinating supply chains and ensuring integration across operational and manufacturing environments, all while upholding stringent security requirements.

Up to £670/PD (Inside IR35)

Locations:

Derby, Rotherham, Newcastle, or Glasgow (occasional travel between sites)

Work Plan:

Hybrid - 2/3 days on-site

Length:

12 months

Main Responsibilities

Deliver IT and infrastructure projects on a large scale, covering networks, workplace devices, back-office systems, and shop-floor equipment.

Manage the end-to-end facility build, ensuring business, technical and operational needs are met.

Oversee key suppliers and partners to ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.

Work with diverse teams to align IT systems with manufacturing processes and operational platforms.

What We''re Looking For

Demonstrable experience leading sizeable IT facility or infrastructure programmes.

Strong understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments, including factory floor operations.

Practical expertise in infrastructure, systems integration, and production technologies.

Solid background in supplier engagement, risk control, financial oversight, and programme reporting.
