We are hiring a Revenue Accounting Manager

Ideally, a candidate with a passion for systems accounting to drive revenue recognition processes, decisions, systems, and reporting. Our finance function aspires to set the industry pace for speed and accuracy of reporting by aligning product pricing, terms, contracting, sales processes, and systems.We seek a professionally qualified accounting leader with expertise in IFRS 15/ASC 606 to develop scalable contract review and revenue recognition processes. This leader will collaborate with teams including product management, legal, FPandA, sales operations, and commercial business systems to ensure straightforward and accurate accounting and revenue recognition of contracts and products, with a high level of automation.Preference is given to leaders with a deep personal interest in the software and technology industry, and ideally some data analytics and software engineering experience. The Revenue Accounting Manager will ensure proper application of revenue accounting guidance for public market scrutiny and should be familiar with Systems Accounting, working effectively with technical teams and software engineers.This management position requires confidence in presentation, goal setting, and team leadership. We plan to grow a team focused on revenue, emphasizing systems and automation to achieve top industry standards in clarity, correctness, transparency, and speed of reporting as a global tech company.Location

This role is home-based within EMEA time zones, with an option to be based in our London office. It reports to our Global Head of Accounting.Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Management, Sales Operations, Sales, Legal, and FPandA teams to design standard contractsDrive process and configuration improvements in NetSuite and related systems for end-to-end automation of the revenue lifecycleIncorporate industry best practices and emerging technology to improve reporting speed and accuracyReview and evaluate the revenue recognition impact of non-standard contracts and new productsLead, mentor, and develop a team of revenue and systems accounting professionalsAssist in month-end revenue close, including reconciliations and analysisDevelop and maintain effective internal controls over revenue transactions and reportingResearch and write accounting memos on significant revenue recognition and policy mattersAct as the primary liaison with external auditors regarding order-to-cash processesQualifications and Experience

Exceptional academic record from high school and universityUndergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, or an alternative compelling narrativeCPA, CA, or equivalent with strong IFRS experienceDeep understanding of IFRS 15 and rules related to SaaS and servicesLeadership or management experienceExperience in software licensing, subscription, and services revenue accountingExperience scaling accounting processes in high-growth environmentsProficiency with ERP, Rev Rec, CRM, CPQ software, especially NetSuite and SalesforceExperience in multi-country, multi-currency operations and tax environmentsExcellent communication skills in English, interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountabilitySelf-motivated, results-oriented, with a drive to meet commitmentsAbility to travel twice a year for company eventsAdditional Preferred Skills
