is recruiting for a Head of Community Engagement (maternity cover). We seek a confident leader passionate about bold work with young people facing inequality. We value applicants who share our commitment to using the arts to amplify refugee narratives. This role offers creative leadership with significant impact within our company and on our members.The main purpose is to lead our community engagement strategy, focusing on expanding employment opportunities for early career artists and facilitators from refugee backgrounds. Key responsibilities include:Managing a small Community Engagement team delivering projects for newly arrived refugee youth aged 16-25Leading an Artist Development programme for 18-25 year oldsLeading a Facilitation Training programme for 18-25 year oldsWe encourage applications from individuals with lived experience of the asylum system, recognizing the barriers faced by refugee artists and practitioners.The role is part-time (3 days/week). 4+ years of project management experience in arts, charity, or community settings, including staff supervision, strategy development, and budgetingAbility to design high-quality creative projects emphasizing co-creation and collaboration with young peopleExperience in designing and delivering training for youth, peer leaders, or early career artistsExperience working with marginalized communities in participatory or applied arts settingsStrong creative background with innovative performance development skillsExcellent communication skills, comfortable with online and in-person collaborationAbility to build positive, trusting relationships with youth, staff, volunteers, and trusteesCapability to manage a busy workload responsivelyAdvanced safeguarding training for children and adults at riskJob Responsibilities

The Head of Community Engagement will implement our community engagement strategy, focusing on project growth and employment pathways for refugee artists and facilitators. We seek individuals passionate about involving those with lived refugee experience as audiences, participants, and leaders.
