Our client, a national Technology leader, are looking to recruit an IT Staging Technician to join them on a Temporary basis in Cardiff for a period of 3 months initially.The role will involve supporting with the testing and staging of IT tech, ready for deployment to customer installations.This role would suit someone with a good understanding of IT, computers, hardware and software, and someone looking to start a long-term career in tech, with lots of opportunities to go permanent for the right person. Due to location, candidates MUST have access to their own transport. What you''ll be doing: Imaging, building, configuring and staging of IT systems (PC''s/Network equipment/servers/cameras/tablets/hand-held devices) to ensure full functionality before deployment to customer project site.Supporting with software and firmware upgrades/downgrades (including routers, firewalls, and switches)Supporting with picking, packing, and dispatch of equipment to customer project sites.What you''ll need: Strong experience in IT / Computer systems including hardware and software.Great customer experience and ability to communicate positively.Positive, solutions focused approach to work tasks.Manually dextrous.Good understanding of health and safety in a work environment.Able to drive with access to own transport essential due to location.Able to pass a DBS check.
