Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Import Clerk to join their busy Import Department.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 3-5 years'' import freight forwarding experience looking to take the next step in their career. Full training will be provided on company-specific procedures and specialist customs processes.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle customer enquiries via telephone and email.Liaise with customers, airlines, agents and transport providers.Arrange airline collections and deliveries.Plan import routings and coordinate overseas collections.Prepare and process customs entries using ASM/Sequoia.Complete tariff classification and import licence checks.Ensure correct use of CPCs and customs authorisations.Prepare import-rated air waybills.Produce simple customer quotations.Assist with invoicing.Process customs post-entry amendments and reclaims.Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems.Ensure compliance with UK customs regulations and company procedures.Key Skills3-5 years'' experience within an import freight forwarding or customs role.Experience completing import customs entries.Knowledge of:Home UseInward Processing Outward Processing Returned Goods Relief Customs WarehousingCarnetsExperience using customs software such as ASM Sequoia Good tariff classification knowledge.Strong ..... full job details .....
