Service Engineer - Responsibilities and Requirements

• Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on compressed air systems and associated equipment.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete repairs and inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Provide on-site technical support to customers.
• Accurately document service work, maintenance activities, and recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding completed work and required follow-up actions.
• Adhere to all company and industry health and safety standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of service processes and customer support.
• Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex faults in compressed air systems.
• Previous field service experience, with confidence working independently at customer sites.
• Strong technical support skills, providing practical solutions to both customers and colleagues.
• Experience carrying out maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices when working with industrial equipment.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally to customer sites.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workload effectively, and maintain accurate service records.
