A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional mental health clinic based in the Leeds, West Yorkshire.You will be working for one of UK''s leading healthcare providersThis service provides treatment for women with mental disorders including personality disorders.The wards are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team**To be considered for this position you must hold a Full GMC Registration**As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieuFulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983)Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of patientsContributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategyContributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staffMaintaining CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodiesThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisionsHave essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental healthHave substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issuesHave previous Consultant experience in a management roleThe successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive a Competitive Salary.This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:**£8,400 Car Allowance**30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off!A Group Personal Pension Plan (GPPP) and pension contributionLife AssuranceEnhanced Maternity PackageFree meals while on dutyEmployee Assistance ServicesCareer development and trainingWellbeing support and activitiesVoluntary benefitsMedical indemnity coverFlexibility to work in clinically led environmentsReference ID: 6063To apply for this fantastic job role, please call on 0121 638 0567 or send your CV
