We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join a busy finance team on an initial six-month contract.This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running, taking ownership of monthly management accounts, budgeting and cash flow forecasting. You''ll work closely with internal stakeholders, providing accurate financial information, analysing performance and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.You''ll need to be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and communicating financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts, including journal postings and financial reporting.Manage cash flow forecasting and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information.Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.Analyse financial performance against budget, investigate variances and highlight key findings.Monitor debtor and creditor balances and support effective working capital management.Prepare and submit VAT returns.Support month-end and quarter-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.Respond to financial queries and provide clear, meaningful information to stakeholders.Build effective working relationships across the business, providing a responsive and reliable finance service.Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and accounting processes.About YouWe''re looking for someone ..... full job details .....
