Franchised Motor Dealership, Southport. Our client, a well-established and reputable organisation in the motor trade, is seeking an experienced Head of Sales to lead and manage their sales function. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to take ownership of sales performance, drive profitability, and lead a high-performing team within a fast-paced automotive environment.As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for the overall success of the sales department. This includes managing day-to-day operations, driving business growth, ensuring a first-class customer experience, and aligning departmental goals with wider business objectives.Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and manage the sales team to consistently exceed targetsDrive departmental profitability through strategic planning and effective team managementFoster a positive and accountable working cultureDeliver a consistently exceptional customer experienceOversee all aspects of the sales function including finance, retail sales, and administrationWork closely with senior management to support business growth strategiesEnsure full compliance with all relevant regulatory and manufacturer requirementsMonitor and analyse sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improvementProvide regular sales reports and performance updates to senior stakeholdersMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory changesEssential
Significant experience in a senior sales management role within the motor trade (5+ years preferred)Previous experience as a General Sales Manager or General ManagerStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDeep understanding of the automotive retail environmentDesirable
Experience managing large teams across multi-franchise operationsProven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targetsStrong knowledge of car finance products and related compliance requirementsCommercially minded with a strategic approach to sales growthWhat’s on Offer
