I am recruiting for my client, an established company operating within the renewable energy and power generation sector, who is looking for an Engineering Technician to join their Northwest team. The successful candidate will travel directly from home to sites, carrying out servicing, planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on gas engines and associated electrical generating equipment. The service area is regional, with travel further afield and overnight stays only required occasionally. My client welcomes applications from candidates coming directly from the Armed Forces, particularly those with a mechanical engineering background and electrical maintenance experience. Full initial and ongoing equipment training will be provided, with technical support available from the wider engineering team. Engineering Technician Responsibilities: Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs on gas engines, generators and associated mechanical and electrical equipment. Diagnose and rectify faults, responding to breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime. Support Operations Technicians during servicing and provide guidance on routine maintenance and fault finding. Assist with the installation and commissioning of equipment. Maintain accurate service records, order spare parts and monitor stock levels.
