Counsellor
Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charitable organisation who are looking for a Counsellor for a permanent post based within a service in Bournemouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who holds a Level 4 counselling qualification. Your role will work heavily in supporting clients who are suffering with alcohol and drug addiction. As a Counsellor in this team you will work closely with support workers and other members of the team to deliver safe, person-centred and recovery-focused support. Key Duties will include: Providing individual counselling and structured therapeutic support to clients. Supporting the delivery of group sessions, workshops and recovery activities. Helping clients explore behaviours, emotions and experiences linked to addiction. Maintaining clear, accurate and confidential client records. Contributing to individual care plans, risk assessments and treatment reviews. The team manager is looking for dedicated candidates who are have at least a L4 qualification in counselling. Ideally you will have or will be working towards a NCPS or BACP Registration, however this is not essential. You will also need to have access to your own car and have a full UK drivers license. Previous experience within addiction treatment, 12 step recovery such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, mental health, residential care or a similar setting would be advantageous.
