We are recruiting an Internal Sales Administrator-on behalf of an established engineering business specialising in machinery and equipment for the food processing industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive and customer-focused individual to join a supportive team in a varied role combining service coordination, internal sales administration and customer support.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating field service engineers, managing customer enquiries and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineer schedules, service visits and customer appointments.

• Manage the service calendar, ensuring efficient planning and communication.

• Act as a key point of contact for customer service enquiries and updates.

• Prepare and process customer quotations, sales orders and associated documentation.

• Support the administration of machinery, spare parts and consumables orders.

• Liaise with internal departments regarding stock availability, order progress and deliveries.

• Maintain accurate customer records, service contracts and CRM information.

• Assist with invoicing, customer statements and general administration.

• Prepare relevant documentation for engineer visits, including health and safety paperwork.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, adaptable and confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in sales administration, service coordination, customer service or a similar role.

• Strong organisational and scheduling skills.

• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• A proactive, flexible attitude with the ability to learn quickly.

Previous experience within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment would be advantageous, although not essential.
