Experienced Complex Care Workers Wanted – Great Yarmouth

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and proactive Support Worker to provide person-centred care to an individual with complex needs following a C4/C5 spinal cord injury and living with diabetes.

The individual is fully dependent on others for all aspects of daily living and requires attentive support, proactive health monitoring and a consistent approach to maintaining their wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with all daily living activities.
• Monitor physical and psychological wellbeing, recognising early signs of deterioration.
• Identify and respond appropriately to potential complications, including autonomic dysreflexia (AD), infection, dehydration, respiratory decline and diabetic instability.
• Escalate concerns promptly in line with care plans and emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the wider care team.
• Promote dignity, comfort, safety and emotional wellbeing at all times.

About You

• Previous care or support work experience.
• Compassionate, observant and dependable.
• Confident recognising changes in health and escalating concerns.
• Experience in complex care, spinal injuries or diabetes is desirable.
• Willing to undertake role-specific training and competency assessments.
