As our Property Management portfolio continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a varied commercial property portfolio and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to both clients and occupiers.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Property Management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day facilities management of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. You will ensure assets remain safe, compliant, efficient and well maintained whilst delivering a first-class occupier experience.

The successful candidate will take ownership of service charge budgets and reconciliations, manage property mobilisations, oversee utility contracts and drive ESG performance initiatives across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the day-to-day facilities management operations across a portfolio of commercial properties.

Acting as the primary point of contact for occupiers, clients, contractors and stakeholders.

Ensuring full compliance with all statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements.

Managing planned preventative maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance works.

Carrying out regular property inspections and identifying opportunities for building improvements.

Procuring, managing and monitoring contractor performance and service delivery.

Preparing reports, budgets and recommendations for clients.

Taking full ownership of service charge budgets, including budget preparation, monitoring, forecasting and year-end reconciliations.

Mobilising new properties from Practical Completion through to full operational occupation and handover.

Managing utility contracts across the portfolio, ensuring best value, service delivery and cost control.

Managing building ESG performance and leading the process for occupier sustainability and utility data collection.

Driving sustainability initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve environmental performance.

Supporting occupier engagement and maintaining strong tenant relationships.

Working closely with Property Managers, Surveyors and other internal teams to maximise asset performance.

Assisting with insurance inspections, risk assessments and health & safety audits.

Ensuring accurate property records are maintained and updated.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Facilities Manager who can demonstrate:

Previous experience in a Facilities Management role within commercial property.

Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and property compliance requirements.

Experience managing service charge budgets and contractor relationships.

Knowledge of ESG principles and sustainability initiatives within the built environment.

Experience of property mobilisations or new building handovers would be advantageous.

Strong financial awareness and budgeting experience.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

A customer-focused mindset and commitment to delivering high standards of service.

IOSH qualification or equivalent desirable.

IWFM membership, or working towards membership, would be advantageous.
