TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming primary school based in Barnsley, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school is committed to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment where children of all abilities are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the primary age range, working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities, provide additional support to pupils with SEND where required, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable

• A good understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom expectations

• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting children''s learning
