Smile Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in the Telford area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Maths lessons across the secondary age range.
• Teach Maths up to GCSE level, with A Level teaching available where appropriate.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of SEND and other additional needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing appropriate feedback.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department.
• Support students in developing their confidence, knowledge and understanding of Mathematics.

The School Are Looking For

• An ECT or fully qualified Maths Teacher.
• Experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and knowledge of the secondary Maths curriculum.
• Experience teaching Maths to GCSE level.
• Familiarity with relevant examination specifications.
• A confident and engaging approach to teaching.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A reliable, adaptable and committed approach.
• Someone who can motivate students and encourage them to achieve their potential.
