The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop and support a range of internal systems, applications and integrations. You''ll play a key role in modernising processes, improving data flows and implementing cloud-based solutions that have a direct impact across the organisation.
This is a hands-on technical position offering significant autonomy, ownership and the opportunity to influence the future technology roadmap.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal web applications and business systems
• Build and optimise relational databases and data models
• Develop integrations between internal and third-party platforms using APIs
• Automate manual processes and streamline operational workflows
• Deploy, manage and monitor applications within Microsoft Azure
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions
• Implement secure development practices and data protection standards
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure high development standards
• Contribute to technology strategy, architecture and continuous improvement initiatives

• Proven experience developing and supporting production-grade software applications
• Strong SQL and relational database design experience
• Commercial experience using Python for development, automation and integrations
• Experience deploying and managing solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Strong understanding of web application development and modern frameworks
• Experience working with REST APIs and authentication mechanisms
• Knowledge of application security, access control and secure development practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• TypeScript, React and/or Next.js
• PostgreSQL
• Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Graph API
• AI, machine learning or Large Language Model (LLM) integrations
• CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience replacing manual, spreadsheet-based or legacy processes with modern applications
• Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing or project-driven industries
