Tradewind Recruitment are seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant specialist primary school in Durham. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced professional looking to make a positive impact in an inclusive and supportive educational environment. You will be working with children whom have profound and multiple learning difficulties, and/or working with pupils diagnosed with autism. The role is to start immediately and will be full-time 8:30-16:00 Monday to Friday, with a view to a permanent position for the right candidate.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one and group support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)Assist students with learning activities, ensuring they are fully included in lessons.Adapt and modify learning materials to meet the diverse needs of students.Support the development of student''s social, emotional, and behavioural skills.Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement individual learning plans.Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary.Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.Promote inclusion, equality, and respect for diversity across the school.Requirements:Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school or educational setting.Experience supporting students with SEND is essential.A valid Child workforce DBS
