Salary £60,000 to £75,000 plus Benefits What You Will Do:- Own system-level thermal and energy balance, identifying and mitigating dominant heat generation, transport, and loss mechanisms.- Lead thermofluid and thermal design decisions for early-stage energy hardware, working with evolving scientific inputs.- Develop pragmatic thermofluid and thermal models to guide architecture, sizing, and trade-offs.- Design, build, instrument, and test prototypes and experimental rigs to validate assumptions and reduce technical risks.- Drive rapid design-build-test-learn iteration cycles, incorporating experimental feedback into hardware revisions.- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate scientific insights into actionable designs.
