They have a twelve month contract opportunity for an Electrical Technician at their site in Skelmersdale As well as being an experienced electrical technician, ideally with your 18th edition I am also looking for somebody comfortable working with PLCs and relevant machinery. Shift Pattern - Days 6am - 6pm / Nights 6pm - 6am (3am on Friday night) Key Job Responsibilities Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on complex electrical systems and process equipment including PLC (Rockwell and Siemens) and Variable Speed Drive (Rockwell and Parker) controls.Implementing improvement projects and modifications to PLC and SCADA systems.Review and evaluation of control systems, providing technical advice and solutions for equipment issues.Participating on improvement teams such as OEE improvement teams.Communicating the results of assigned technical tasks through work order and shift hand over reporting.Maintaining awareness of plant and department risk assessments, hazard cards and safe operating procedures whilst adhering to recommended control measures.
