Procurement Buyer
Support services business operating within the defence sector require a Procurement Buyer. Applicants should have experience in procurement, ideally as a Buyer (direct or indirect) within a regulated environment; aerospace, defence, or public sector organisation. The Procurement Buyer will join a multi-disciplined Procurement team providing the business with a full lifecycle procurement offering from; tendering, purchase order management, supplier onboarding/management and contracts management. The Procurement Buyer will support day-to-day execution of procurement operations, alongside contributing to broader commercial and contract management strategies. Specific duties of the Procurement Buyer include:Purchase and Word order placement in SAPFront-end sourcing and tendering activities; supplier selection, invitation, tender and evaluationSupplier onboarding and due diligence activitiesManaging and monitoring of supplier, supply chain and contracts performanceOwnership of procurement department data to identify saving opportunities, and strong/poor supplier performanceStakeholder engagement - understand procurement strategies and encourage governance and compliance with procurement procedures, policies and systems Procurement Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, supplier or contract management roleExperience in or affinity too; aerospace, defence, public sector or engineering industryRelationship-building skills
