Our client is a large manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Huddersfield, Bradley, and due to continued growth and expansion, they require a well versed production operative-to work a permanent night shift.

Key Responsibilities

To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.

Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is always achieved.Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.

Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

Experience

• Good level of numeracy and basic knowledge of computers
• Manufacturing background and understanding of manufacturing process
• Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and have a keen eye for detail and must possess a positive working attitude
• Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers

You will....

• Operate machinery within given parameters and instructions
• Working to written instructions and adhering to manufacturing tolerances
• Using various types of machinery to complete the assembly build.
• Understanding and working in accordance with the company H&S directives
• Identifying continuous improvements (5S) as part of the team objective
• Operate within the boundaries of the company quality system to ensure the requirements of the company accreditations are supported.

Shift hours....

10pm to 6pm Monday to Thursday and 5pm 10pm on Friday

In return you can expect an hourly rate of -13.45 per hour plus shift allowance -30%- - giving a rate of - 16.81 an hour plus a fantastic benefits package including 35 days holiday and excellent pension contributions.
