Manual MachinistLocation: West SussexHours: Day Shift (Monday Friday) The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to manufacture, modify and repair precision components using manual machining techniques.This role supports the production engineering function in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality manufactured parts, often working to tight timelines. You will produce tooling, fixtures and components to specification, enabling continuous production, project work and process improvement. Key ResponsibilitiesOperating XYZ manual milling machinesOperating manual lathe machinesUsing band saws and hydraulic hacksawsEnsuring all equipment and tooling is functioning effectivelyProducing work to a high-quality standard in line with engineering drawingsMaintaining excellent housekeeping and adhering to Health and Safety standardsSupporting the training of new or transferred employees where requiredLiaising with internal departments as necessaryCarrying out additional reasonable duties as required Experience and Skills RequiredProven experience programming and operating XYZ milling machinesStrong experience operating manual lathe machinesGood manual dexterity and mechanical aptitudeAbility to work accurately and precisely from engineering drawingsStrong attention to detailAble to work effectively as part of a teamFlexible and adaptable to changing business requirements
