Job DescriptionWe are looking for a full time
Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer
to join our growing team of service engineers. You''ll be working alongside our other service engineers across a large number of our commercial clients across the London and surroudning areas.
This is a fully remote role and requires a full UK driving licence.
This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.
Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers are supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients.

Hours and Location of Work:
Main location
- this is a fully mobile role covering London and surrounding areas.
Regular hours of work
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - 40 hour working week. Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients require "out of hours" maintenance so early starts/late finishes and night works are to be expected.
On Call
- this role includes a 24 hour on call rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday-Thursday)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
Experience within the FM industry supporting commercial properties with reactive and planned maintenance activitiesGas Safe qualified across all commercial and industrial equipment, applications, and installations: CPA1, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, COMCAT1-5Oil Fired Heater (oftec) certificationLPG certificationWorking knowledge of Building RegulationsBuilding Environmental and Electrical Services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the building services industrySound understanding and experience of meeting Health and Safety obligations regarding maintenance activitiesBasic plumbing and building material skills/knowledgeAsbestos AwarenessFull UK driving licence
Desirable:
CSCS cardIPAF and PASMAFGas Cat4Part P Electrical certificate
Responsibilities include:
Undertaking all aspects of domestic and commercial gas installation, commission, fault finding, and maintenance including the service and repair of gas and oil heating systemsCarrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic''s PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and task schedules as directed by the Help Desk and/or management teamProviding accurate timesheet information to designated timeframesCarrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as requiredSupporting team members including acting as second-man where requiredParticipating in a 24 hour call out rotaSupporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframeSupporting Thermatic with maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representative and customers of our clientsAssisting office-based staff with producing quotations by providing accurate and good quality information and sourcing supplier quotations where extra works are identifiedProducing technical and situational reports as requiredEscalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes
