Environmental Advisor Location: Leiston, Suffolk Site-BasedSalary: 65,000 per annum + BenefitsEmployment Type: Permanent The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Environmental Advisor to join a major nuclear project based in Leiston, Suffolk. This is an excellent permanent opportunity to play a key role in supporting environmental compliance and sustainability across a large-scale, complex construction environment. Working closely with project teams, contractors and key stakeholders, you will provide practical environmental advice, monitor compliance with relevant legislation and project requirements, and help promote environmental best practice throughout the construction lifecycle. Key Responsibilities As an Environmental Advisor, your responsibilities will include:Carrying out regular site inspections across contractors'' work areas, identifying good practice, deficiencies and potential non-compliances.Raising environmental observations and issues where required and supporting appropriate corrective actions.Providing clear and practical advice on environmental legislation, permits, consent conditions and planning constraints affecting construction activities.Reviewing contractors'' Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure they meet environmental legislation, Development Consent Order (DCO) requirements and project standards.Supporting internal environmental audits and self-assessment activities to maintain ..... full job details .....
