We are supporting a leading manufacturer of polymer foam products used across construction, packaging, consumer goods, and sports industries. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their engineering team at their Croydon-based site. About the Role: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a variety of industrial equipment, including steam boilers, thermal oil heaters, high-pressure compressors, extrusion equipment, and pressure vessels. You will carry out electro-mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities to ensure the plant operates efficiently and reliably. You will play a key role in supporting the shift teams, reducing downtime, and actively contributing to the transition from a "repair culture" to an "improvement culture". Key Responsibilities: Provide proactive support to plant and equipment to maximise production output. Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks across the site. Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests, ensuring equipment is safe and reliable. Complete detailed reports using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
