Overview

Head of Planning urgently required for a medium sized multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy, providing a wide range of services across the majority of industry sectors including commercial, health, education, residential and community with offices in London, Bicester, Cambridge, East Anglia and Chelmsford.The role is responsible for running the entire Town Planning function for this Consultancy. Schemes will vary and include LA schemes, HA, work for developers, education schemes and other similar type schemes.Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Town Planning function across all offices.Drive business development and bring in new business with a focus on large-scale residential-led schemes.Oversee planning applications and projects ranging from current activity (generally 300 – 1,000 units) with ambitions to work on larger schemes up to 10,000 units and beyond.Line manage a team of planning professionals (currently split among 10 subordinates) and provide strategic direction.Qualifications

Experience of working with either a planning or multidisciplinary consultancy or experience of working client-side for a developer or landowner.Proven ability to manage large-scale residential-led schemes and to lead a planning function across multiple offices.Strong business development, leadership, and team management skills.Location and Salary

Location: Chelmsford / London / East Anglia / BicesterRegions: Cambridgeshire, Essex, London, Norfolk, OxfordshireSalary: £60,000 - £90,000 plus full package
