We''re supporting a privately owned, founder-led SME in Bristol as they look to appoint a Senior Accountant into a broad, commercially exposed finance role.This opportunity will suit a qualified accountant with experience in an SME or entrepreneurial environment, who enjoys variety, ownership and working close to decision-makers. The role offers hands-on exposure across financial and management accounting, alongside the chance to partner directly with the founders as the business builds and scales multiple revenue streams.The RoleWorking closely with the founders (and external advisors where appropriate), responsibilities will include:Ownership of month-end close - journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet controlPreparation of management accounts with clear insight and commentaryBudgeting, forecasting and cashflow managementSupporting statutory accounts and year-end processesCommercial analysis across existing and new revenue streamsScenario modelling and "what-if" analysis to support growth decisionsHelping to develop finance processes, controls and reporting as the business scalesThis is a true SME role - broad, hands-on and influential.About YouACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified Previous experience in an SME, owner-managed or high-growth business preferredStrong financial accounting and month-end capabilityComfortable producing and interpreting management informationCommercially minded and curious about how value is createdConfident working in a lean, fast-moving environ
