The business is part of a large, well-established commercial vehicle group with a strong reputation within the industry and a long history of providing high-quality vehicle sales, servicing, maintenance and repairs.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician looking for a stable, long-term career within a professional workshop environment.Working Hours Two shift patterns are available: 9:30am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday or 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday 30-minute unpaid breakMain Duties and Responsibilities Carry out routine inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs. Work on both franchised and non-franchised commercial vehicles. Carry out a wide range of defect repairs, including major unit overhauls. Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults. Use manufacturer diagnostic systems, computer equipment and specialist tooling. Complete job cards and service sheets accurately using online systems. Follow warranty procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Carry out MOT preparation and testing where qualified. Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping.
