Team Leader Environmental Protection
Role PurposeEnsure that people and premises meet statutory requirements and in compliance with relevant council policies and procedures in relation to Environmental Protections.Investigate, inspect, and take all necessary follow up action to ensure premises subject to commercial legislative requirements are compliant.ResponsibilitiesRepresent the Council at public inquiries, public meetings, external organisations and Council committee meetings, providing in depth technical information and reports for service-related issues. Represent the Council in both criminal and civil proceedings,.To act as lead officer holding responsively for dealing with complex operational delivery, enforcement and education issues on an independent basis providing authoritative guidance to colleaguesProvide excellent customer services to all customers, ensuring they are kept fully updated on the case development. Communicate with residents/businesses/Ombudsman in relation to service complaints to achieve a high level of satisfaction, investigate and manage and promptly address any service failures.Be responsible for the safe keeping of technical and other equipment required for the efficient performance of duties, including operating expertise and interpretation of results.Lead on continuing improvement of the service by developing relevant protocols, procedures and service level agreements as required.Act for the responsible authority under the Licensing Act 2003 including appearing at member panel
