Labourer Angus

The Role

We are seeking a hardworking, reliable and motivated Labourer to join a friendly Engineering team in Angus.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands on individual who enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to learn new skills. The successful candidate will assist with workshop and yard operations, equipment maintenance, cleaning, painting and general labouring duties.

A positive attitude, flexibility and a strong commitment to health and safety are essential. Previous experience with industrial equipment, power washers, buffers or forklifts would be advantageous; however, training can be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Power washing and cleaning industrial equipment.
  • Buffing, stripping and spray painting pressure control equipment and other company or client-owned equipment.
  • Assisting with basic fabrication and general workshop tasks.
  • Supporting workshop and yard operations as required.
  • Loading, unloading and transporting equipment and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Operating a forklift where competent and authorised, with training available where required.
  • Assisting colleagues to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Ensuring all relevant paperwork is correctly authorised and returned to the appropriate office personnel.
  • Complying with all company and client Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) procedures.
  • Wearing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Ensuring company vehicles and equipment are handled and operated safely and professionally.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • The ability to follow instructions and comply with health and safety procedures.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • A logical and practical approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and changing priorities.
  • The ability to work independently when required and contribute effectively as part of a team.

Experience and Training

Previous experience in a workshop, industrial, maintenance or general labouring environment would be beneficial.

Experience using power washers, buffers, spray-painting equipment or forklifts would be an advantage. Forklift and equipment training can be provided where required, subject to operational needs and applicable authorisation requirements.

Candidates must be willing to learn, follow safe working practices and actively participate in health and safety training.

If you are dependable, enthusiastic and ready to take on a varied, hands on role, we encourage you to apply.
