Responsibilities
To manage the Transport Fleet and Drivers, such that Plant and Materials are scheduled to meet Project and Company requirements in a timely and safety focused manner.
To manage Drivers including issuing and approving Job Sheets and ensuring accurate time keeping and recording.
To ensure appropriate procedures are in place to ensure vehicle servicing and maintenance (Including 6 weekly checks, MOT, ECT).
To ensure that appropriate procedures and records are in place to ensure compliance with Ministry of Transport and that the Operator’s Licence responsibilities are fulfilled.
To carry out Operational requirements in line with the Company accreditations and appointed rolls (FORS, Mission Zero, CLOCS).
To maintain a system of checking and filling Tachographs and taking appropriate action as necessary.
Oversee the timely resolution of Breakdowns, Repairs and Call Outs of all General Fleet Vehicles.
Ensure that vehicles are maintained to the highest Company Standard.
Carry out regular Driving Checks and maintain records of current Driver License.
Ensure the registration of Congestion Charge and manage fines in line with Company Policy.
