PCB AssemblerReed Engineering are currently supporting a specialist electronics manufacturer in recruiting a skilled PCB Assembler to join their growing production team.OverviewThis position plays a vital role in ensuring the successful manufacture of high-quality electronic PCB assemblies and sub-assemblies. The role predominantly focuses on through-hole PCB assembly and soldering to IPC-A-610 Class 2 and 3 standards, alongside inspection, testing, rework, and general assembly duties.Contract: Full-time (flexible working hours between 7am and 10pm)Reporting to: Technical ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesElectronic ProductionAssemble Printed Circuit Boards to a consistently high standardSolder conventional components accurately to IPC-A-610 Class 2 and 3 standardsConduct detailed visual inspections to verify compliance with IPC standardsCheck completed assemblies to ensure accuracy and qualityPerform functional testing on assembled PCBsMaintain accurate production and assembly recordsReworkRepair or replace conventional components on defective PCBsTest all reworked boards to ensure correct functionalitySMT Rework (advantageous)Straighten, repair, or replace SMT components as requiredTest reworked SMT boards for full functionalityAOI Operation (advantageous)Operate Automated Optical Inspection equipment to identify areas requiring reworkBox Build (where required)Assemble electronic sub-assemblies quickly and accuratelyConduct functional tests on sub-assembliesGeneral DutiesWork to h
