Electrical Design Engineer £45,000-£55,000 + Benefits Colchester - Hybrid working available The Opportunity A leading engineering technology business is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing team in Colchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design, development and testing of advanced industrial machinery, supporting both new product development and the ongoing improvement of an established product range. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to technically challenging projects from initial design through to prototyping, testing and production. The Role As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the electrical and electronic design of new machinery, as well as maintaining and improving existing products. Key responsibilities include: Designing and laying out electrical support systems for complex industrial machinery. Designing and documenting electrical panels, PCBs and general machine wiring. Producing basic mechanical designs for electro-mechanical components and systems. Carrying out practical electrical and electronic prototyping and testing. Specifying, documenting and managing electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs). Supporting the ongoing improvement and development of existing products.
