Quantity Surveyor Civils and Groundworks Location: Hemel Hempstead Ref: QS-KC-01 We are working with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor, delivering infrastructure, enabling works, and reinforced concrete packages across a range of commercial and residential developments, who are on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their team. The business has built a strong reputation for reliability, technical capability, and long-standing relationships with main contractors and developers. Due to continued growth and secured workload, they are now looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. The Quantity Surveyor s Role The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with Directors, Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual obligations. Key responsibilities include: Full commercial management of civil engineering and groundworks packages Preparing and agreeing valuations, variations, and final accounts Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors and suppliers Cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow control Supporting tendering and pre-construction pricing where required Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity Maintaining strong relationships with clients and delivery teams Projects
