This is a senior, hands-on engineering role focused on modernising API gateways, automating deployments and enabling cloud-native integration across Google Cloud. The Senior GCP Apigee Engineer role is suited to an experienced Apigee specialist who combines deep API management expertise with strong DevOps capability, enjoys working within cross-disciplinary feature teams and can contribute to scalable cloud product delivery. Responsibilities for the Senior GCP Apigee Engineer: Design, build and manage API proxies, policies and configurations within Google ApigeeDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting full API lifecycle managementImplement and enforce API security policies including OAuth, JWT, mTLS, rate limiting and threat protectionAutomate Apigee deployments and configurations using Infrastructure as Code principlesIntegrate Apigee with Google Cloud services including Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub and BigQueryDevelop automation scripts and operational workflows using PythonManage API analytics, monitoring and logging to ensure performance and complianceEnforce governance standard
