Social Care Assistant 

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire, HU9 1DN
Salary: £12.96 per hour + £50 per sleep-in shift
Contract: Permanent – Full-time available
Shifts: 24/7 rota – 12–14-hour shifts, including early, late and night shifts

The Opportunity

Avocet Trust is looking for caring and committed Social Care Assistants / Support Workers to join our team supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

No previous experience in social care is required. We provide full training, induction and ongoing support, making this a great opportunity for anyone looking to build a rewarding career in care.

Full-time roles involve a 24/7 rota with shifts that can vary between 12 and 14 hours, including early, late and night shifts. Part-time opportunities are also available.

What You'll Do

•  Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support.
•  Support individuals with daily living, including personal care, meals and household tasks.
•  Act as a Key Worker and help maintain individual care plans.
•  Support with medication administration and supervision.
•  Encourage social activities and community involvement.
•  Support individuals on holidays, trips and other activities.
•  Build positive relationships with the people we support.
•  Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
