Looking for a highly capable Senior Accountant with over two years of experience in management accounting and financial reporting, to join a media consultancy business for a short term contract. Initally 3 months with the intention to extend to 6 months, they are needing someone who is available to start before the end of August. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), and bring solid technical expertise and a strong understanding of both financial processes, and have experience with stakeholder engagement in a professional services and media environment.Core Expertise Management Accounts: End-to-end responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and presenting monthly management accounts. Strong skills in PandL and balance sheet review, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.Budgeting and Forecasting: Works closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to develop and monitor marketing and group-wide budgets, including input across 11 sector specialisms. Familiar with setting and tracking social and marketing budgets with clear business touchpoints.Statutory and Regulatory Reporting: Experienced in preparing reports aligned with ONS PSA and other statutory requirements. Actively involved in year-end processes and liaising with auditors, with audit work typically starting in October.Systems and Process Improvement: Continuously reviews and enhances financial systems, internal controls, and reporting processes for greater efficiency and compliance.
