Project Manager

Role: Project Manager - FM Lifecycle (Healthcare)
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Opportunity
Our client, a leading construction and facilities management company, are recruiting a Project Manager with experience delivering FM lifecycle or capital projects in healthcare or hospital settings.
Based on a large healthcare site, this is a key role within the FM team, responsible for managing a portfolio of projects under a PFI contract. The role offers the chance to work on a wide range of essential works within a live hospital environment, from plant room upgrades to ward refurbishments, with both capital and lifecycle elements.
You''ll be reporting directly to the Head of FM, working alongside a well-established FM and commercial team, and coordinating with external stakeholders including Progress Health and the NHS Trust.
The Role
- Oversee the delivery of FM lifecycle projects in a live hospital environment
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and delivery plans in line with NHS compliance (HTMs/RIBA)
- Lead all aspects of project delivery
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, and Trust stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
- Manage risk, budget control, and forecasting across your project portfolio
- Ensure compliance with quality, H&S, building regulations, and sustainability targets
- Be the main point of contact for stakeholders - including the SPV and the NHS Trust
- Champion a high standard of communication, safety, and delivery on-site
What They''re Looking For
- Experience delivering FM lifecycle projects, in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of compliance, including NHS standards, HTMs, and building control
- Background in FM, construction, or technical project delivery
- Comfortable working on live operational sites (ideally PFI)
- Clear communicator and confident dealing with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Strong planning, coordination, and commercial awareness
- Proactive, practical, and solutions-focused approach
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Familiar with project software (MS Project, Aconex, etc.)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Enhanced DBS clearance required (or willingness to obtain)
- Ideally with a technical or M&E background, but not essential
