Technical Estimator
As a Technical Estimator you will be responsible for assessing all technical information regarding a project including Materials, labour, production complexity and feasibility to generate a realistic and competitive quotation for customers. Applicants will be required to work both individually and as part of a team to drive sales and develop long-standing connections with both new and existing customers. Key Responsibilities and Duties Technical Analysis: Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements. Cost Estimation: Calculating detailed costs for materials, equipment, labour, and transport to produce accurate quotes. Bid Management: Preparing, reviewing, and submitting comprehensive tenders and cost reports for new projects. Risk Assessment: Assessing project risks and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Production Coordination: Collaborating with the Technical, Procurement, Quality and Production department to ensure that work can be effectively conducted before quoting. Project Monitoring: Tracking project costs against original forecasts cost of needed material to adjust price as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and understand technical drawings, Produce Technical datasheets and specifications. Software Proficiency: Microsoft Suite Numeracy and Accuracy: Excellent mathematical skills for calculating quantities and costs. Communication: Strong
