Salary: -45,000 per year

Working hours: Monday-Friday (flexible hours)

The Role

As the Health & Safety Manager, you''ll be the subject matter expert for all Health & Safety matters across the site. Working closely with operational and senior leadership teams, you''ll lead the development of policies, procedures and compliance frameworks while supporting the safe growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and develop the site''s Health & Safety management system.
• Create and maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections and workplace assessments.
• Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
• Develop and deliver Health & Safety training programmes.
• Manage contractor and visitor safety processes.
• Produce Health & Safety reports, KPIs and improvement plans.
• Support operational teams with risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive a proactive Health & Safety culture across the organisation.

About You

• NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing, production, engineering, food, chemical, pharmaceutical or process environments.
• Strong understanding of risk assessments and safety management systems.
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-motivated, hands-on and capable of working autonomously.
