The Opportunity Northreach is partnering with a specialist property lender to recruit a Bridging Underwriter to join a growing underwriting function. This is a hands-on role where you will manage cases from initial application through to completion, working closely with brokers, solicitors, valuers and internal stakeholders. The role offers exposure to a broad range of short-term property transactions and suits someone who enjoys balancing credit risk with commercial decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities: Assess and underwrite bridging loan applications in line with internal credit policy Analyse borrower profiles, property security, exit strategies and supporting documentation Review valuation reports, legal due diligence and professional advice Prepare clear credit recommendations and underwriting rationales Manage cases end-to-end from enquiry to drawdown Liaise regularly with brokers, solicitors, valuers and internal teams to progress transactions Maintain accurate case records and support service-level delivery What we are looking for: Experience underwriting bridging or short-term property finance Strong understanding of UK property lending and credit risk principles G
