TECHNICAL DESIGN ENGINEER This global leader in the supply of piping components into the oil and gas, petrochem, power and water industries is looking for a Technical Design Engineer to join their successful team based in Liverpool. This company is a renowned manufacturer of forged reinforced branch fittings, flanges and other specialised forged components for piping and pressure vessel applications delivering high quality engineered products and systems in compliance with international codes, standards and contractual obligations. Reporting into the Technical Director the role offers a competitive rate of up to 40K dependent on experience plus benefits and offers a supportive and friendly team environment. Purpose of the Role This role is responsible for carrying out detailed mechanical piping design calculations, analysis of client specifications and piping classes and reviewing the associated technical standards. You will prepare design calculations according to API 6A, API 17D, ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 and ASME VIII Div 1 and 2, in addition to producing CAD drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support projects from technical concept through to deliverables.
