Salary: £43,800 - £58,500

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid (minimum of 2 days per week in the office)

Contract: Full Time (35 hours per week) / Fixed term (18 months)

The Exam Services team delivers millions of English Language assessments each year and is responsible for test security, exam centre compliance, protecting the reputation of the exams, and ensuring fairness for all candidates. There are two senior managers working together to manage the compliance of the global exam centre network, define security requirements in a changing environment, and balance customer focus with regulatory needs.

Responsibilities

Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure robust exam security.

Become an expert in exam regulations and security, speaking about test delivery and our exam centre network, and provide guidance to other parts of the business.

Establish clear, robust policies for managing the security of our assessments.

Establish clear KPIs and SLAs and monitor progress against these.

Make key operational decisions and contribute to strategic decisions for the department.

Manage the quality and compliance of our third-party exam centre network globally for Cambridge, ensuring high security standards.

Lead and manage a team, providing development, support and resource management.

About YouQualifications/knowledge

Knowledge of Cambridge English products, partners and customer base.

Knowledge/understanding of test day delivery, test security and associated challenges.

Experience of supporting or working with international customers.

Broad understanding of regulatory requirements for exam boards.

Essential Skills and Experience

Experience of exam delivery or exam operations, invigilation or other relevant insight into running examinations.

Experience of managing people across multiple cultures and countries, and of managing externals.

Excellent understanding of data management and reporting.

Confident user of Excel.

Great people leadership skills.

Sound understanding of SLAs and KPIs.

Strong influencing skills to ensure the best outcome for the team and customer in cross-functional negotiations.

Ability to plan team resource in both the short and long term to meet inflexible targets.

Desirable

Knowledge of the Cambridge English partner landscape and the challenges of operating globally via exam centres/third parties.

Management qualification (desirable).

Process improvement skills (desirable).
