Lead complex design projects from strategy to execution, managing medium-sized assignments, structuring workstreams, outcomes and deliverables, identifying and managing risk, and building strong client relationships while fostering high-performing teams.Design Excellence: Produce exceptional design deliverables across the entire design spectrum. Drive innovation, ensure quality, and meet project deadlines.Strategic Leadership: Build teams that work on complex projects. Shape design approaches, influence client decisions, and mentor design colleagues. Contribute to business development by creating new client offers and enhancing existing ones.Consulting: Balance internal projects with client deliverables, ensuring seamless integration of design and business objectives. Lead proposals, pitches and senior client conversations.Work to agile best practices and collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders. Use technical skills to problem-solve for clients and on internal projects.Engage in in-person whiteboarding sessions while maintaining effective asynchronous communication via Teams.Qualifications

Essential requirementsEven if you don’t meet every requirement below, you may still be encouraged to apply as we hire for similar roles where your background may be a better fit.You thrive in problem-solving and analytical thinkingYou enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environmentExperience designing for AI-powered experiences and using AI to enhance the creative process (generative design, prototyping with AI, prompt-based exploration)A proven track record as a visionary and pragmatic Senior UX/UI Designer delivering services for private and public sector clientsExperience in a client-facing role (agency or consultancy) with strong client relationships and ownership of assignment outcomes; experience leading proposalsCollaborative and empathetic leadership, mentoring others, fostering inclusive environments, and pursuing excellenceComfortable working across PA industries including Consumer and Manufacturing, Public Sector, Defence and Security, Energy and Utilities, Financial Services, and TransportFamiliarity with current service design trends, AI, automation, and digital transformation. UK Government Service Standard experience is a bonusStrong business acumen with ability to identify opportunities, contribute to business development, and grow PA’s reputation in product management and service designStrategic thinking and innovation skills; proficiency in standard design tools and methodologiesAdditional Information
