Freelance Estimator - SubstationsLocation: Remote Rate: 600 - 650 per day (Outside IR35)Sector: Power / Substations / CivilsWe are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Estimator to support upcoming substation projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging and technically complex schemes, providing first-principles estimating expertise.The Role:As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for substation and associated civils works. You will work closely with project and commercial teams to deliver robust and competitive tenders.Responsibilities:Develop cost estimates from first principles for substation and civils projects.Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.Prepare bills of quantities, rate build-ups, and risk assessments.Liaise with supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotations.Support bid submissions and presentations to senior stakeholders.Provide input on value engineering and commercial strategies.Requirements:Proven track record as an Estimator in power, substations, or heavy civils.Strong ability to produce detailed estimates from first principles.Good knowledge of UK construction methods, rates, and supply chain.Ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.What We Offer: 600 - 650 per day (freelance).Projects across the UKOpportunity to work on technically challenging and high-value ..... full job details .....
