A Trainee Internal Sales and Contracts Engineer is required for a busy engineering company based in Huddersfield.

This position would be well suited to a recent Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, or similar, who is looking for a role where they can develop a career within a more commercially focused role within engineering.

Within this busy role you will provide support with the provision of quotations and technical reports in relation to the repair of mechanical equipment. -You will also provide engineering support within the base.

Under the direction of the Internal Sales and Contracts Engineer you will be responsible for customer liaison in relation to the repair / service of rotating and mechanical equipment and assist in the preparation and presentation of the correct solution. -Liaising with Workshop Engineers you will assess and prepare reports and accurate quotation for the customer. -Liaising with the client throughout you will ensure deadlines are met on time and to customer satisfaction.

Candidates will likely be a recent Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and looking to pursue a commercially focused position within engineering. -Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

An understanding of vibration analysis and mechanical seals would be an advantage along with knowledge of micro-meter and vernier caliber and dial test indicator.

Occasional visits to off site premises may be required, as such candidates must hold a full, clean driving licence.
