3 days in the office £600 per day MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To act as the Council''s Principal Advisor on Planning, Economic Development and Climate Change To provide an effective and successful planning and regulatory service that enables development to meet the physical, economic and social needs of the borough and the wider spatial area. To prepare and implement the Council''s strategy to mitigate climate change, including climate action projects jointly across Council service areas. Ensuring that staff and service performance is well managed, makes continuous improvements and that comprehensive accountability systems are maintained. To develop and maintain effective links with the private sector, Hertfordshire Futures, County Council, other Local Authorities and other key groups to enable the Council to maximise growth opportunities and inward investment to the area. As a member of the Senior Management Team, to proactively contribute to the Council''s effective corporate governance and the formulation of corporate strategy, policy, plans and targets; communicating and sharing responsibility in delivering the Council''s corporate vision and strategic objectives.
