Multiskilled Production Operative

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing manufacturing business in West Sussex, South East England, with full training provided and the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple production processes.

• Location: West Sussex, South East England
• Salary: up to £41,000 per annum depending on skill level
• Role type: Full Time
• Hours: 12-hour rotating shifts, averaging 42 hours per week, with overtime available
• Shift pattern: 3 days on, 3 days off, 3 nights on, 3 days off
• Right to Work: RTW in the UK required

About the Role
We are looking for reliable and motivated Multiskilled Production Operatives to manufacture and assemble products safely, accurately and efficiently.
You will work across different production processes as your skills develop, using machinery, CNC equipment, hand tools and power tools once trained and authorised.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble products according to work orders, drawings and specifications
• Safely operate machinery, CNC equipment and hand and power tools once trained
• Check materials and finished work against required standards
• Identify and report quality issues or defects
• Work flexibly across different production areas as your skills develop
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and use the correct PPE
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Support production targets and priorities
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate relevant production issues
• Support training, multi-skilling and continuous improvement

What We''re Looking For

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, joinery or a similar environment is desirable
• Previous experience working within a wood manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
• Experience following drawings, job cards or work instructions
• Practical experience with machinery, tools, material handling or quality checking
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good safety awareness
• Reliable, punctual and flexible
• Willingness to learn new skills and complete competency training
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good practical problem-solving and communication skills
• Able to work the full rotating shift pattern, including days and nights
