Job Title: Grounds and Yard Operative Location: Rochdale Pay: £13.55 per hour Hours: Monday Thursday: 09 30 (30 min lunch) Friday: 09 30 (30 min lunch) About the Role We are seeking a reliable and proactive Grounds and Yard Operative to join our clients team in Rochdale. This hands-on role involves maintaining thier site, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting the safe and smooth running of daily activities. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, attentive to detail, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Litter picking, weed removal, and leaf clearance (seasonal) Strimming, hedging, and general grounds maintenance Gritting during cold weather periods Daily site walkarounds and signage checks Handling deliveries and monitoring skips Yard entry supervision and wheelie bin stock management Pallet handling and damaged bin processing Sweeper washing and brush wear monitoring Essential Requirements Valid 7.5-ton driver s license Desirable Skills and Qualifications Forklift truck license What We Offer Competitive pay of £13.55 per hour Supportive working environment Opportunities for training and development There is an immediate start available for the right person (subject to an interview and references).
